Temporary Housing Support Assistant/Admin

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 4 months

Basic DBS disclosure required for this role
Proven minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role.
The purpose of the role is to provide general typing and clerical support to the Private Sector Housing Team including the Empty Property Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Photocopying/printing and collation of documents.
Shredding of confidential information as and when required.
Dealing with incoming and outgoing internal and external mail and e mails.
Undertaking environmental searches.
Maintaining statutory registers on behalf of the Private Sector Housing Team.
Typing of a range of documents including letters, witness statements, statutory notices.
Arranging meetings including internal and external participants as and when required.
Attendance at meetings for the purpose of taking and producing minutes.
Undertaking Land Registry checks to establish ownership and identity of those with a legal interest in empty properties.
File management and setting up of files/records and maintaining files e.g. filing, archiving, electronic scanning, indexing of files, etc.
Assist in all aspects of the administration of the relevant processes for the Private Sector Housing Team this includes supporting delivery of proactive initiatives by for example producing mail merging documents, preparation for letter drops.

Qualifications:
Educated to NVQ level 3 / A Level standard or equivalent experience.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience of working in an admin / clerical department.
Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
Have good oral and written communication skills.
Must be a good team player but must also be able to work well individually.
Ability to organise own workload.
Ability to organise records and files.
Ability to plan and organise own workload.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
