BDS are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work alongside a Social Justice Charity providing Housing Support to vulnerable service users; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse.
The Role;
Hours; Full time- Monday- Friday- 8am-4pm / 2pm – 10pm 1 Saturday a month
Competitive Pay Rate; £18ph UMB + 45ppm for travel between services
Length of Contract; 6 months initially, possibility to go perm or extend following this
Location; Working across the Newcastle and Sunderland areas- hybrid working also available
Duties;
- Plan and deliver effective support and safety plans with the service user
- Supporting clients to claim benefits and housing pathway and in their accessing opportunities
- Ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned.
- Develop a move-on plan with service users
Essentials:
- This role does require you to be a driver with access to a vehicle
- You will need to hold an Enhanced DBS check dated within 12 months
- You will need to hold relevant Housing Support experience with vulnerable client groups
