About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Team Leader to join Housing Services at Gloucester City Council, to focus on Homelessness and Rough Sleeping. To also supervise the day-to-day operational service delivery of the Housing Team and be able to maintain a high level of technical and professional competence in relation to the functions of the team, provide direction, advice, guidance, and support to team members in the delivery of services.

Also, to support the Housing Operational Lead and to deputise from time to time.

What we need from you

We are seeking an individual who will have experience of successfully leading on projects, managing a team, and coping well under pressure and dealing with difficult situations.

You will need to work at a professional level, demonstrating competency of the Housing & Homelessness Act and have negotiation and engagement skills and be able to develop positive relationships with Members and stakeholders.

You will have excellent communication and customer-care skills and the ability to work flexibly, as part of a busy team with the ability to oversee the work of others, providing advice, guidance and support. Also, the skillset to compile complex information and reports both oral and written.
