Blue Arrow Edinburgh are currently recruiting for an HR Administrator to join our client, based in the west side of Edinburgh. This role is a 12 month FTC and will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary is 24,705pa and we are looking for someone from an Administration background who is keen to develop within an HR based role.
Main duties:
- The successful candidate will maintain an effective filing and data records system, both paper based and electronic.
- Provide effective and efficient administrative service, ensuring all electronic and paper based communications and documentation are actioned appropriately.
- You will both respond to and follow up with HR specific enquiries both timeously and professionally to ensure that accurate and impartial information and advise falls within the confines of the organisations policies and legislation.
- Contribute to the development of an effective HR service through participation in functional and departmental forward planning activities and projects.
- Seek to continuously develop your own knowledge and understanding of HR related issues, as well as policies and legislation and use this knowledge and understanding to contribute to the development of HR processes and procedures within the organisation.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years experience working in an administration role previously, not necessarily within HR
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office packages, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Flexible approach to work and have a desire to learn and develop within an HR role
