Job description

As a Human Resource Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our high-performing team by providing comprehensive HR guidance and assistance. Your expertise in human resources will be crucial in shaping our company culture, enhancing employee engagement, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Support new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  2. Employee Relations:
    • Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
    • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with company values.
  3. Training and Development:
    • Assess training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
    • Assist in performance management processes, including setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
    • Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
    • Prepare and submit HR reports as needed.
  5. Safety and Wellness:
    • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe working environment.
    • Support wellness programs and initiatives to improve employee well-being.
  6. Benefits and Compensation:
    • Assist in managing employee benefits programs and compensation structures.
    • Address employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, CIPD or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role in the construction or maintenance industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
