Job description

Robert Half Office Team are currently recruiting for a HR and Training Manager based near St Albans. This is going to be at least 1 month, could be extended.

Responsibilities:
1. HR Management:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.
- Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for new hires and smooth transitions for departing employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, including personnel files, benefits information, and payroll data.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics, such as employee turnover and engagement, and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to employees, managers, and executive leadership, providing guidance on conflict resolution strategies, policies, and best practices.

2. Training and Development:
- Liaise with departmental managers to assess training needs and ascertain best course of action for delivery of required training
- Design, develop, and deliver effective training programs aligned with Company objectives and values, and employee development needs.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and analysis of performance data.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring availability of trainers, resources, and appropriate venues.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.

3. HR Administration:
- Oversee HR administration functions, including employee contracts, benefits administration, and HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and facilitate conflict resolution when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain a thorough understanding of employment legislation.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
4. Compensation and Benefits:
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct regular market research to ensure our offerings remain competitive and attractive to current and prospective employees.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on compensation-related matters, including salary reviews and recognition programs.

Requirements:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, including training and development.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
