As the HR Business Partner, you will be joining a highly successful manufacturing business with a passion for social responsibility and sustainability.
Your new role
As the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day HR issues within a production environment of approx. 40 staff members, fostering a culture of inclusivity.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to ensure all areas of the HR function are being developed and implemented in a planned and structured manner.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing levels are maintained through active resource planning, sourcing and recruitment of all production and support staff. This will include extensive use of online recruitment platforms, including social media, to design and place advertisements, shortlisting and selecting candidates.
  • Meeting all statutory and regulatory compliance standards, including completing monitoring returns to Equality Commission NI and appropriate candidate checks.
  • Responsible for the development, preparation, and completion of documents to support the recruitment and onboarding processes, to include up-to-date job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Designing and delivering a comprehensive induction to all new staff members, to include HR Policies, procedures and payroll information and ensure all employees are effectively and efficiently onboarded.
  • Supporting the administration of the payroll process, liaising with the Finance department.
  • Proactively manage employee issues, such as absenteeism and timekeeping; conducting return to work and absence review meetings.
  • Have full responsibility for all employee relations matters, including dispute resolutions, performance management grievances and misconduct matters.
  • Develop and implement an effective performance management process and support/complete performance reviews with all staff.
  • Be an EDI champion for the business, promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture
  • Review and update essential employment documents in line with legislative changes and business needs, for example, contracts of employment, policies, and the Employee Handbook.
  • Manage the training & development needs for all staff members to build capability.
  • Carry out training on an on-going basis in relation to HR related topics, initiatives, and plans.
  • Manage talent development and succession planning for current and future key roles and oversee the implementation of the same.
  • Preparation of monthly reports to the management team, with timely and accurate analysis, including any employment law updates affecting the business.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in the role of HR Business Partner you will need:
Essential?3rd Level qualification in a HR or a business-related discipline.
?A minimum of three years’ HR Generalist/HRBP/management experience within a small to medium size business.
?Hold a CIPD qualification, (CIPD level 5)
?In depth knowledge of NI employment law and able to demonstrate the practical application of it to proactively resolve employee relations issues.
?Experience of actively resourcing and recruiting staff within a production/manufacturing environment.
?Excellent IT skills-experience of using a variety of computer software packages and be fully conversant with MS Office suite.
?Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
