About The Role

This is a Fixed-term post until 31st July 2025 working 35 hours per week. 


The successful applicants will normally be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service).

Swansea University’s HR Team has an exciting opportunity for two HR Business Partners to join their hard working HR community, which prides itself on providing pro-active, high quality professional advice and excellent customer service to all colleagues on all people issues and processes.

You will be responsible for leading HR in colleges and functions, as well as working with other HR professionals to deliver strategic business initiatives. Highly visible and role modelling exceptional leadership, you will lead a cohesive and influential HR function, developing capability and insight in advance of organisational need.  You will understand the local and organisational business environment, identifying risks, providing insights and flexible, innovative solutions based on a long term view of the organisation’s direction, shaping and aligning the HR solution accordingly.

You will play a critical role in leading transformation across the University, balancing exceptional planning and organisational skills with strong emotional intelligence in order to deliver challenging outcomes at pace, in a complex and highly political environment.
