Location: Based from Burton Upon Trent (DE14 2UZ) with regular travel between sites
Contract: full time, Permanent
Salary: £40,****** per annum, plus car / car allowance, 25 days rising holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme
About the Job
As a HR Consultant you will provide consultative support and coaching across the entire employee lifecycle, to the leadership team.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Advise, coach and guide line managers about levels and types of reward
- Deputise for the HRBP/HRM where required
- Represent the HR department at relevant site meetings where appropriate
- Be an ambassador for HR across the business and with clients
- Support the initiatives and organisation of the Employee Engagement Survey
- Support, coach and work closely with the Forum and the General Manager(s) to ensure there is an effective employee voice
- Manage the recruitment process (from vacancy design to offer) for U Grade positions on-site/in Sector, working with the Resourcing Specialists, ensuring that candidates have a positive experience and brand integrity is maintained throughout
- Promote and support the talent management process, using the competency framework and succession planning tools; proactively supporting and building the talent plan to ensure all competency risks are known, managed and planned for
- Deliver HR training modules and other training and development activities in conjunction with the HR Advisors and the Capability team
- Lead the HR element of all site/within Sector based change programmes / projects (TUPE, Restructure, Redundancy, shift changes)
- Support the HR business partners in tender processes for new business
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the department’s internal and external customers / suppliers
- Conduct bi-annual audits (as a minimum) of the on-site temporary recruitment agency to ensure compliance with UL service level agreement (SLA) and legislation
- Review and discuss required actions related to analysis from weekly and monthly management information (MI) with senior site managers, providing insight and assistance to drive improvements across sites
About You
Our client would love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
- Previous experience in managing change management processes (TUPE/ redundancy/restructures etc.)
- Complete understanding of HR processes and procedures
- Up to date, working knowledge of current UK employment law
- Proven experience working in a confidential environment
- Customer focused
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills in order to meet deadlines and maintain engagement
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites
- Effective influencing skills at senior management level with an ability to apply appropriate levels of challenge to senior stakeholders
