Job Overview
Join our amazing HR team and play a pivotal role in reshaping our centralised HR model. As an HR Manager of a prestigious government contract, you'll spearhead the Employee Relations and Industrial Relations initiatives, provide essential support for high-risk Employee Relations cases, and champion a range of HR projects. Your expertise will drive improvements in our workforce, enhance our HR policies, and contribute to the overall success of this strategically important account.

- To support the central ER team with 'in person' HR support for complex ER cases
- To support reporting to the business on the performance of the managers and the ER Team with Employee Relations caseload
- To support the Strategic HR Business Partner in the delivery of HR projects such as driving improvement in colleague turnover, colleague and contract engagement initiatives, mental health first aid
- To maintain a good relationship with local Trade Union Reps and the full time industrial officers (recognised Trade Union is PCS)
- Avoid conflict of interests between personal interests and the interests of the UK & Ireland group
- Exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out your duties
- Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company within the UK & Ireland group for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders
- Adhere to and promote the UK & Ireland group's policies on equality & diversity, information security, health and safety and data protection in the performance of your duties
- Support and promote the UK & Ireland group's sustainability plans and policies, including the Carbon Management Plan, and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognizing the shared responsibility of minimizing negative environmental impacts wherever possible.
- Previous experience within a unionised environment
- L5 CIPD qualification or the willingness to work towards it
- Demonstrated expertise in advising on complex ER matters in a fast-paced, low-margin business
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, collaborating with managers at all levels to deliver HR processes.
