The HR Manager will partner with the management team and Directors to develop the full scope of HR processes at Rat & Boa, spanning the full lifecycle of employees.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
(Includes but is not limited to these duties)
- Advising management on the administration of human resources policies and procedures.
- Ensuring HR programmes and services are in compliance with established policies and procedures and UK laws and regulations.
- Preparing and maintaining reports and business plans related to specific HR projects.
- Presenting training sessions related to specific HR programs.
- Working with HR systems and IT programmes ie. payroll, excel etc.
- Building a strong staff experience in all aspects of the employment lifecycle.
- Development/Training: Further Rat & Boa culture of learning by assessing objectives and partnering with each team to develop and implement consistent strategies relating to training and development. Oversee Professional Development planning, and organise and/or lead staff training as appropriate on the individual, team or organisational level. Engage with external consultants as needed.
- Full-cycle Recruiting: Assist hiring managers when needed in creating job descriptions, screening candidates, and serving as an advisor during the interview process. Manage all onboarding and offboarding protocols for staff, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a positive candidate/staff experience throughout.
- Performance Management: Manage the performance assessment process to ensure a high performing team and the implementation of best practices. Manage Rat & Boa’s annual review process by evaluating the company's evolving needs, providing instruction on timelines and processes to staff, and by providing guidance to managers on effective performance evaluations and options for coaching and training.
- Research and implement best practice tactics to limit unconscious bias in the recruitment process and promote diversity within the workforce.
Requirements
Essential Skills
- 2-5+ plus years of HR generalist experience.
- Experience working and engaging in global, multicultural, and virtual team environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and administer new systems and tools quickly.
- An extremely organised and goal-oriented team player with great communication skills.
- A clear passion for building and developing teams.
- Ability to travel based upon business needs.
Desirable Skills
- BSc/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field.
- Previous experience in HR for fashion retail or e-commerce preferable.
Soft skills
- Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear direction and leadership on creative concepts visually and verbally.
