Hays HR is delighted to be working in partnership with a new organisation on the recruitment of an HR Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position within the organisation, you will report into the Head of Finance supporting on all HR activities across the organisation. The role will be located in Darlington, in a remote working capacity with occasional travel to Darlington, so you will need to be located in the North East.
My client is looking for a HR Professional who is happy to work in a stand-alone HR role and is happy to get involved in a wide range of duties within the organisation - this is a strategic and operational opportunity.
Your new role
Within your new role, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow within this position and take the lead on all People aspects. With the position being newly created, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and Managing Director.
Responsibilities and duties within the position include:
- Supporting the Head of Finance on implementing a People Strategy across the organisation
- Driving on the employee lifecycle, providing advice and guidance on recruitment activities, supporting on onboarding and inductions
- The opportunity to implement an HR System
- Driving internal Comms, delivering on wellbeing incentives and strategies across the business
- Reviewing the Employee Handbook, writing up-to-date policies and procedures in line with recent Employment law updates
- Project work
- Employee Relations (Not high levels)
- Reviewing compensation and benefits
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for selection for this position you will require experience and knowledge in the following:
- Strong Employment Law knowledge
- Experience working within an HR function in a stand-alone role or part of a wider HR team
- Experience implementing HR Systems
- A hands on HR Generalist
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Located in the North East
