The Opportunity
Cpl is working on an exciting new opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join one of Northern Irelands leading manufacturing companies in a senior standalone position.

The Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will be tasked with maintaining and further developing a first-class HR service for their growing workforce.

Main duties & responsibilities:
- End to end management of high-volume recruitment processes, including international recruitment, visa administration and relocation arrangements.
- Conducting the onboarding and off-boarding process
- Accurate processing of starters and leavers
- Provision of high-quality HR leadership & insight, offering professional HR advice to management
- Support line managers in dealing professionally with disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues (including the creation of performance improvement plans)
- Proactively monitor absence, including LTS absence management
- Assist the accounts department in providing accurate payroll information.
- Generate HR reports & statistics to assist with operational management and decisions.
- Identify learning and development opportunities and arrange suitable training and the creation of in-house bespoke training materials.
- Act as a representative of the company, liaising with government bodies and external stakeholders as appropriate (e.g., LRA, INI, MEGA, Home Office, Equality Commission, schools, and colleges)
- Act as an organisational citizen & change agent to support continuous improvement of the business.
- Responsible for maintaining the company training & review programmes, ensuring SMART metrics on progression and competency levels are readily available.
- Maintenance of accurate records, including training matrices (H & S, competency etc)
- Monitor and develop employee benefits package, including administration of company benefits policies.
- Contribute to the company’s well-being and employee engagement strategy and liaise with marketing on employer branding activities.
- Provide support to the H & S function & liaise with other functions as necessary.
- Policy creation and development
- Completion of annual monitoring returns
- Ensuring legislative compliance & best practice adherence at all times
- Organisation of occupational health provisions
- Organisation of annual performance review programme
- Reporting of KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis
- Responsible for the maintenance and further development of the company IIP Status
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Human Resources Management or QBE (7 years)
- Minimum of 5 years HR experience (operating at a senior officer / BP level or above)
- CIPD membership
- Experience within the engineering or manufacturing sector
- Strong experience in dealing with all core HR activities including disciplinary matters, performance management etc.
- Strong experience in dealing with high volume recruitment.
- Well organised with ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
- Highly confidential
- Awareness of relevant legislation and implications on employees and the business
- Experience of HRIS & reporting tools
- Experience in dealing with L & D initiatives.
