Job Description
We are working with a wonderful London Council to recruit a permanent HR Policy Manager in a newly created role that offers a lot of variety!
You will hold full responsibility for all HR Policies moving forward but your first priorities will be to fully update the following:
- Grievance
- Family Friendly
- Sickness Absence
In addition to this, and what gives this role more variety is that you will have some influence over the processes that link in with these policies and make sure everything is simplified and user friendly for all employees.
While this is a standalone role, internal relationships are really important as among others you will work really closely with the ER Manager but will also be responsible for supporting managers across the wider organisation in how to interpret and apply policies in their own work area.
It is absolutely essential that you come with experience in writing, developing and managing policies as a major responsibility in a previous role as you will be considered the HR Policy expert for the entire organisation.
Ideally you will come with local authority or central government experience however candidates from the wider public sector will be considered.
We are looking for a very self sufficient, delivery focussed HR specialist who can take on this sort of work with a clear project style approach.
This role is offered on a hybrid working arrangement but you will need to be onsite in London 3 days a week
