We are looking for an experienced HR Officer who has strong office skills and preferably has a basic understanding of the Social Housing Sector. If you have an interest in this sector this could be the role for you!
Duties of a HR Officer
- Understand and align with the employer's business objectives.
- Develop and write job descriptions, person specifications, and job adverts.
- Manage the entire application process, from form review to candidate selection.
- Recruit, develop, and retain suitable staff.
- Ensure compliance with right-to-work regulations.
- Plan and occasionally deliver training, including new staff inductions.
- Handle staff welfare and administrative tasks
- Advise on pay, benefits, and conduct salary reviews.
- Strategize and plan for immediate and long-term staffing needs.
- Develop and implement policies on various HR issues.
- Advise and guideline managers in policy implementation
- Liaise with stakeholders on areas like staff performance and health and safety.
- Champion equality and diversity within the organizational culture
- Prepare staff handbooks, administer payroll, and maintain employee records.
- Interpret and provide advice on employment law.
- Address grievances and oversee disciplinary procedures.
- Analyse training needs in collaboration with departmental managers
Skills and experience of a HR Officer
- Strong office / computer skills
- HR experience
- Organised

Our client is a small run company who are the market leaders in their specialist field providing support housing needs to over 70 Local Authorities. They are looking for a HR Officer to join their team part time. Due to recent expansion and successfully securing new contracts, we are looking to recruit a HR Officer to join their small team.
