Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint either a Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours) or Part Time (min 30 hours), HR Officer to join our HR team in our Northwest Region.Reporting to the Groups HR Manager, the HR officer will be the main point of contact for all HR matters in our Northwest depots (Maydown & Garvagh). You will work collaboratively as part of the wider HR team and provide HR support to the other depots throughout the RiverRidge group, as and when required. In addition, to managing the day-to-day HR activities, the successful applicant will work closely with the HR Manager in the development of our Learning and Development strategy..

Associate level CIPD membership (ideally level 5)Strong knowledge of current NI employment legislationAt least two years experience working in a generalist HR Officers role and can demonstrate Learning and development experienceEnjoy working with people and display excellent interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsRecognise the importance of confidentiality Have good problem- solving skills to deal with disputes, grievances and staffing issuesExcellent organisational skillsIT literate (competent in Microsoft office suite and HR software)Valid UK Drivers licence and access to own transport /business insurance, as you will be required to travel to other depots throughout the group as and when required , Previous experience working within an HR department within the Manufacturing or Transport IndustryPrevious experience dealing with Trade Unions
