Morgan Law are delighted to be working with this London based Local Authority to exclusively recruit to this high profile Pay and Reward Project Manager role.
Hydrid working with 1 day a week in the office.
Local Government or wider Public Sector Pay and Reward Experience is essential.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Pay and Reward specialist to join the team to manage and deliver on a portfolio of a minimum of 5 (clearly defined) key projects over a period of 18 months.
Leading and developing a team of highly skilled and specialist subject matter experts, you will ensure that the pay and reward offer is fit for purpose, defendable and achieves its intended outcomes.
You will be continuously assessing risks to the organisation ensuring the programme is aligned to the council's strategic direction. You will make best use of internal resources and bring in additional resource as required to ensure the programme is delivered within the timescales.
Managing a budget of up to £1m to deliver the programme, your remit will also include:
* To provide leadership and direction to the programme including the implementation and monitoring of governance arrangements.
* To initiate specialist consultancy input, ensuring the compliance of the pay and reward programmes with the relevant laws and regulations as is required. Ensure that the reformation of any terms and conditions, pay systems or benefits are fair and equal.
* Accountable for the engagement with our Trade Unions during this process promoting partnership working and negotiation and consultation at relevant stages.
* Direct a co-ordinated customer engagement programme ensuring that the proposed approach aligns with the strategic direction of the council and meets business requirements.
* Direct market research and benchmarking initiatives to ensure the competitiveness and fairness of the pay and reward offering.
* Accountable for communication with stakeholders during the programme working in partnership with the internal communications team.
* Drive a high-performance culture for all staff engaged in the project. Timescales must be met and a high-quality product delivered.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
This role will report to the Assistant Director of HR and will deliver the programme on behalf of the Director of HR.
