HR Services Assistant Manager, Chester, Permanent, 38,000 - 42,000 plus excellent benefits
Our client is a leading and growing organisation with an enviable brand and reputation. Due to growth and continued success, they are now looking for an HR Services Assistant Manager to join them in a newly created role.
Reporting into the HR Services Manager and having line management responsibility for 4 direct reports, as HR Services Assistant Manager you will be tasked with delivering operational excellence within HR Administration with a focus on risk management, quality, and accuracy. You will be seen as a subject matter expert within the team and be the point of escalation to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department.
Some key tasks include:
- Take ownership of the overall people plan for the HR Services team and understand how it aligns to the overall strategic direction of HR operations.
- Lead, coach and develop direct and indirect reports to ensure HR operations are continually contributing to making the business the best place to work by nurturing a customer centric philosophy.
- Support the HR Services Manager in identifying and delivering continuous improvements strengthening the brand and EVP.
- Manage the daily running of the HR administration team including monitoring productivity and activity and conducting regular 1-2-1s and performance reviews.
- Maintain internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
- Support with ongoing projects.
- Monitor MI and data trends.
- Maintain current understanding of employment regulations, HR trends, legal compliance, and best practice.
Our client is passionate about ED&I and as part of their ongoing work supports the rehabilitation of prison leavers. As part of this role, you will manage relationships with external stakeholders to ensure the programme reaches its full potential. Your relationships will be with the outreach programme stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing a team, setting and monitoring KPIs and ensuring SLAs are met. You will be professional and accurate with the ability to build rapport quickly. You will be a credible, articulate, and confident communicator. You will have the ability to effectively manage conflict and analyse complex solutions providing practical solutions. Ideally you will be level 3 or 5 CIPD qualified with relevant HR experience. You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service ensuring best practice is always adhered to.
