Job description

The Fire and Rescue Service in Nottinghamshire is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Systems Manager to manage a small team delivering system development for our in-house HR and Payroll i-Trent system.

In this role, you will be passionate in leveraging technology to optimise HR and Payroll functions to drive an excellent service to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Play a key role in the development of the i-Trent system as the subject matter expert and remain informed of industry trends to offer innovative solutions.
Ensure that the i-Trent system meets organisational requirements and continues to operate at optimum effectiveness.
Work on the implementation of upgrades to the system by assessing in-house procedures and identifying where those procedures can become more efficient.
Develop and assist with the delivery of training to end users on the i-Trent system.
Assist ICT projects which require system integration with i-Trent to ensure optimal utilisation.
Maintain data security and integrity within the i-Trent system.
Schedule system updates and deal with system performance issues, you will enjoy resolving problems independently.
Liaise with both the supplier and contactors.
Manage the i-Trent team by ensuring you support, develop and train your team members and provide welfare support to ensure motivation and performance remains high.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Possess high level technical knowledge of i-Trent and the Business Objects reporting tool (or possess the same level of knowledge in an equivalent HR system).
Extensive database development experience from initial analysis of need to implementation of the technical solution.
This role is central to the delivery of a project to implement pension changes and Payroll and/or pensions experience would be an advantage, although not essential.
Understand how to lead projects and manage a team to ensure deadlines are met.
Ability to analyse various data sources and form conclusions and solutions to present to key stakeholders.
