Overview

Oakleaf partnership are representing a wealth management firm to recruit for HRBP with a Learning and Development lean to take the lead on their Learning and Development strategy.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of HR and the business to create training programs that develop skills aligned with our company's growth strategy. You will also serve as a key contact for employment-related queries and concerns for the London Office and act as an escalation point for HR administration issues.

What is the role?

  • Lead the Learning and Development strategy, determining the annual training plan in accordance with business strategy, skill gaps, and training requests from managers.
  • Manage the company's talent development programs.
  • Evaluate and qualify potential training providers, assessing their understanding of the wealth management business.
  • Collaborate with the Head of HR and the Finance team to determine and monitor the annual training budget, ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Work with managers and department heads to identify skill sets and role structures that best support the team and business.
  • Create training metrics for the CEO and Executive Committee.
  • Support the recruitment process, ensuring practices align with company policies.
  • Maintain a commercially viable Preferred Supplier List (PSL) of recruitment agencies and provide management information as appropriate.
  • Drive the employer brand, ensuring that the careers page, LinkedIn presence, and media presence highlight the company as a great place to work.
  • Create, manage, and analyze key metrics for the CEO, Board, and Executive Committee, including recruitment dashboards, Learning and Development dashboards, HR quarterly reports, and exit interview data.
  • Collaborate with the HR generalist team to build functionality in the HR system, including onboarding, talent management, recognition, performance management, and reporting absences.
  • Provide support and guidance on employee relations issues to London Managers, working with the HR team as required.
  • Support the Senior HRBP with an annual review of the employee handbook in line with UK regulations.
  • Support the Senior HR team with the bi-annual compensation process.
  • Contribute to various HR processes, such as induction, probation, maternity/paternity/adoption, flexible working, and offboarding.
  • Suggest improvements and efficiencies to HR administration processes to enhance service levels.
  • Coach and develop the HR Assistants across the breadth of HR responsibilities.
  • Research, prepare, and present information on various HR-related topics as required.
  • Check payroll input on a monthly basis for quality assurance.
  • Identify and mitigate key risks within HR.
  • Ensure all monitoring and audit items related to HR are met in a timely manner.

Candidate profile/experience?

  • Degree educated (desirable)
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (desirable)
  • Experience using and interrogating HR information Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework within Financial Services, ideally Wealth Management
  • Good understanding of the Senior Manager & Certification Regime and Training & Competence requirements in financial services
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and high emotional intelligence
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with quality output
  • Good understanding of employment law and practical application in a work context
