Form of workI am currently looking to speak with an experienced Project Engineer who will take up the position of Principle Project Engineer for our client based near Sheffield.
Company Background
Market-leading energy company focused on providing chemicals and gases to the UK & worldwide. Currently involved in several new projects within existing portfolio and are involved in new energy projects such as hydrogen.
Salary: £65,000 - £70.000 + up to 20% bonus + Pension + Flexible Hybird
Project Values:
£1 million - £10 million
Key Responsibilities
- a robust project management framework for the seamless execution and timely delivery of projects while prioritizing safety, budget adherence, and timeliness.
- commercial acumen by ensuring competitiveness and suitability of project designs and costs, supporting business objectives and fostering growth opportunities.
- and mitigate project risks, including effective variation management to boost sales and regulate supplier/contractor engagements.
- engineering resources efficiently, both internal and external, to ensure project execution aligns with organizational goals.
- comprehensive project proposals for securing financial approvals and budget allocations.
- a flexible contracting network to efficiently manage workload fluctuations and subcontracting requirements.
- a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, sharing and implementing best practices across teams.
- strong interdepartmental relationships, particularly with engineering partners, to enhance project synergy and efficiency.
- a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- ownership and understanding of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) objectives among employees and contractors.
- relationships with key stakeholders to uphold customer-centricity and responsiveness.
- proactive communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle, actively seeking and acting upon feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Project management/engineering on bigger projects and take a lead
- Track record of delivering projects on time.
