About the role:
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company run and own landfill gas assets and have a growth plan into the Anaerobic Digestion sector too. We’re looking for a Health and Safety Manager / H&S Manager to take control of the UK sites’ H&S and to drive the safety culture too.
This Health and Safety Manager / H&S Manager comes with a salary up to �70,000 and an excellent package too.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Global Head of HSE you will:
* Provide support and expertise to the wider team across the client’s portfolio of sites
* Ensure you drive a culture of continuous improvement with health and safety being at the forefront of everyone’s minds
* Provide safety training and support services across the sites
* Deliver safety inspections, audits and other compliance activities to ensure safe operations
* Perform some gap analysis across the group to see where you can standardise HSE processes
* Provide input into into group HSE Team performance activities, including the annual strategy, planning activities and the setting and monitoring of the correct KPIs
* Support the UK Operations Manager and Gas Resource Manager to review and close-out SWI and JSEA improvements
* Produce and issue the UK weekly training and PTW compliance report
* Travel to various sites, with an average of a couple of sites per week to put a number on it
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A higher education in Health and Safety, ideally degree qualified in a relevant field
* NEBOSH Diploma
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* UK driving licence
Personal skills:
The Health and Safety Manager role would suit someone who is:
* Flexible with location
* Experienced with permits to work, lock out and tag out as well as incident investigation
* Rooty cause analysis incident investigation experience

* Up to �70,000 starting salary
