We're seeking a skilled HTHW Heating Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team, driving technical excellence in the Fusion Energy sector. By supporting our Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contract, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a customer-focused service delivery that powers the future of sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assume the role of responsible person for HTHW district heating systems and associated equipment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations for boilers, gas burners, pumps, and more.
- Lead modifications, upgrades, and repairs for HTHW systems and associated plant.
- Contribute to strategic planning for gas-fed boiler systems, emphasizing environmental and cost-effectiveness.
- Review proposals, ensuring alignment with current legislation.
- Coordinate building access for maintenance, liaising with stakeholders and building managers.
- Manage RAMS for contractors and subcontractors, completing UKAEA approval forms as needed.
- Attend preplanning meetings to present project plans and schedules.
- Raise RFWs, WAFs, and Work Control Packs, ensuring proper access approval.
- Liaise with term and sub-contractors to ensure stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with the team to manage and audit work using UKAEA CMMS (Mainsaver).
- Ensure smooth coordination of reactive, remedial, planned, and project works.
- Deliver project information and technical details to colleagues and clients.
- Write reports and manage project budgets.
- Stay updated on regulatory legislation and guidelines.
- Advertise tender documents and manage contracts.
- Provide holiday/sick cover for business continuity.
- Complete mandatory UKAEA training as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- BOAS qualification.
- Commercial gas safe qualification.
- Proficiency in applications such as Word and Excel.
- Independent work capability and effective workload prioritization.
- Customer-focused mindset, aiming for customer satisfaction.
