Coordinating and leading Safety Critical Task screening workshops to involve stakeholders in the Assessment process and facilitate peer review

Collaborating closely with site Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) and High Hazard teams to champion cutting-edge practices in high hazard risk categorisation

Reporting and reviewing findings and recommendations to the Applicable Technical Authorities agreeing and recording appropriate actions to ensure sufficient safeguards are in place

Performing hierarchical task analysis and human failure analysis, unlocking insights to enhance safety protocols

Engaging in the continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through review and refinement

Partnering with Engineering teams to ensure robust identification and control of Safety Critical Tasks, seamlessly integrating these into SOPs

Supporting the Basis of Safety through the execution of diverse responsibilities

Your skills and experiences:Essential:

Knowledge and experience of the Human Factors methods involved in safety assessments for high hazard processes

Competency and proficiency of Human Factors methods involved in the design lifecycle of process, plant, and equipment

Experience of providing Human Factors expertise to accident or incident investigations

Desirable:

Human Factors qualification

Working towards Chartership, or qualified to become chartered through a relevant institution (e.g. CIEHF)

Experience in a relevant industry such as engineering/manufacturing
