HR Manager - 12-month Fixed Term Contract

An opportunity has arisen to join a successful construction company as a HR Manager on a fixed term contract to be based at their head office in Trafford Park.
Minimum 12-month fixed contract, available to start March 2024. This is a stand-alone HR Manager position so would potentially suit an up and coming HR Manager or someone wanting to step into their first HR Manager role.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the field & will have experience of:
Managing all core aspects of the HR function:
- HR admin
- Employee relations
- Maintaining HR systems
- Managing sickness and absence levels
- Overseeing disciplinaries and grievances
- Managing the starters and leavers processes
- Operating the workplace pension scheme
Experience desirable but not essential:
- Assisting the accounts department with payroll and invoices
- Working closely with heads of departments and the board directors
- Supporting employee development of all staff, via mentoring, Personal Development Review process and active involvement with the Building Student Programme (key liaison contact with Salford University)
- Leading the Mental Health programme and the company’s Mental Health First aiders.
- Managing the company car scheme
- Lead contact for Investors In people - Platinum status
Requirements include:
- Minimum Level 3 CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- Experience within a stand alone HR position
