HVAC Systems in the context of Rail Vehicle applications is both technically challenging and rewarding, testing and developing your core skills and personal attributes like no other.The Crewe site is about to undertake a large scale 'Overhaul and Refurbishment' programme on HVAC and other systems for one of the businesses flag ship train fleets.Responsibilities To lead on overhaul modernisation programmes, working with UK and global teams to facilitate the project effectively for the Crewe site.To ultimately be "Subject Matter Expert" for HVAC Overhauls and RepairsTo support related Bid activityCreate or amend Component Overhaul InstructionsManage current E,H&S issuesManage implementation of Environmental lawHVAC Type and Routine testingSupport creation of BOMsManaging obsolescence - including Refrigerant changes and systems redesign, creation of engineering change documentation et alWork with production / manufacturing teams fault finding and working resolutions, ensuring on time delivery and satisfactory outcomesSupport depots with such as general issue resolution, FAI /FAR.Industrialisation, Process set up, Installing Tooling 'Best Practice', and resolve any safety issues.Awareness of global trends in HVAC systems - eg Refrigerant availability, energy efficiency issues.To be able to understand , read and effectively use electrical schematics to support fault finding To understand BUS network systems as well as vehicle diagnostic tools used for train control and comms related to HVAC.Qualifications Ideally Degree qualified or HNC in engineering / technical disciplineExperience of overhaul/ repair of HVAC or similar safety critical systemsKnowledge of HVAC or similar equipment processes such as brazing, use of gases systems vacuuming.Knowledge of maintenance management systems BOMs management SAP or similarExperiencesEngineering, Production, Manufacturing, Repairs and Overhaul, OEM - Tier 1 supplier and or similar to such as Rail, Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence, Automotive, Engineering Consultancy, Domestic and Industrial Heating Manufacture - Design & Development and or similarTo discuss please feel free to call me on or email your CV to
