🔧 Job Opportunity: Hydraulic Fitter
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Pay: Training rate - £39,834.15; Full rate - £41,188.04.
Role Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Hydraulic Fitter, playing a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of various assembly and testing techniques. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to achieving performance measures, continuous improvement, and first-line maintenance objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
Assemble and test components of the Braking System, from simple sub-assemblies to complex hydraulic control units.
Maintain component traceability throughout the manufacturing assembly process.
Attend and contribute to Daily Layered Accountability meetings.
Assess, repair, retest, and/or modify production returns.
Responsible for inspection and associated paperwork supporting manufacturing documentation.
Work within a team-oriented approach, actively participating in continuous improvement processes.
Technical Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Proficient computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Knowledge of equipment: Linear and pressure transducers, load cells, flow meters, multi-meters, dielectric testing, bonding meters, power packs, hydraulic pressure rigs, etc.
Understanding of torque values and/or equipment.
Basic soldering skills desirable.
Knowledge of DATA acquisition testing systems desirable.
Ability to use basic inspection equipment.
Desirable experience:
Experience with LabView/data acquisition.
Hands-on experience in building complex hydraulic assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Lee Pin plugging and threaded insert experience desirable.
Familiarity with test equipment: pressure transducers, linear transducers, flow meters, load cells, multimeter, bonding meter.
Experience using basic inspection equipment: Vernier caliper, micrometer, slip gauges.
Qualifications:
Engineering apprenticeship (City and Guilds in Engineering) with operational experience in an assembly environment (desirable, training will be provided).
