- THE ROLE -
The post holder is jointly responsible for the delivery of an IT Technical Support service and is routinely expected to meet and typically exceed their expectations. They will require a good knowledge of IT and AV systems and have an understanding of the current computing technologies and platforms used throughout the University.
Responsibilities include ability to support staff and student systems, classroom facilities, videoconferencing, resolution of service desk calls, user training and participation in technically orientated project work.
Key aspects of the role will include the post holder working with significant autonomy and be attentive to trend analysis and user engagement associated with continual service improvement activity. The post holder will be expected to participate in event support outside core hours.
- ABOUT YOU -
- Hold an HNC/HND, Foundation degree, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent (or higher), with relevant ICT content or demonstrate appropriate experience relevant to an ICT Customer Service and Support environment.
- Have evidence of experience providing 2nd level ICT incident management.
- Have evidence of experience configuring and deploying hardware and software to a wide customer base including portable devices.
