The Team
The division of Information Security and Identity and Access Management (IS and IAM) is accountable for the cyber security operations across all areas of the University and its international centres. The division is comprised of two departments: Cyber Security Operations and Identity and Access Management.
The Role
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect Is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive and scalable Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution to safeguard the organisation’s information assets, manage user identities and control access to critical systems and applications.
The IAM Architect ensures the IAM solutions will be cost effective and meet current and future University business and strategy requirements.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements, design IAM strategies and ensure the secure and efficient management of user identities and access privileges across the enterprise.
The Person
You’ll have a broad range of technical knowledge of identity systems and approaches through the full identity lifecycle. You will have experience of designing identity solutions to fit the needs of a complex array of stakeholders while balancing organisational risk. You will possess extensive experience about IAM concepts e.g. lifecycle and governance; role-based access control; user provisioning; self-service management; password management; single sign-on, etc.
You’ll also have:
- Experience assuring outputs from either strategic change projects or third parties against architectural designs and ensuring adherence to policies, standards and practices.
- Experience designing and developing hybrid identity solutions across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience of managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders within a large and complex organisation.
- A solid understanding of the impact of emerging IAM technologies and trends on organisations and users.
- Assessed the feasibility of IAM solutions from a technology, people, and process perspective
- Developed IAM architecture artefacts (e.g., architecture diagrams, models, technical documentation, implementation guidelines, etc.) that can be used to leverage IAM capabilities in projects and operations.
