We are committed to delivering and supporting excellent customer focussed services and to do this we need to recruit the best staff, invested in higher education and dedicated to supporting sector leading learning, teaching and research – and that’s why we need you… We have an exciting opportunity in our department for someone with a passion for authentication and identity management, looking to use their skills in leadership to develop and lead the team to provide a modern, and fit for purpose Identity and Access Management (IAM) suite. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to drive the IAM Team forward.  Working with the IAM Target Operating Model to produce a clear roadmap and complimentary plan of works to consolidate our systems and processes to meet the future requirements of the University. Areas of interest over the next few years will include replacement of our existing in-house IAM system, rationalisation of systems/tools, such as consolidating the number of Single Sign On solutions, refining the University’s Joiner, Mover, Leaver process, and migration of services to cloud-based and industry standard methods where appropriate. How people work is just as important as what they do, so making sure the team has the right practices and processes to support collaborate working, sharing standard methodologies and providing a joined-up service for all users. We currently have variety of authentication systems including: AD LDAP CAS Shibboleth SimpleSAML The ideal candidate will have good understanding and experience in some of the above technologies, along with good experience of IAM technologies and systems. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote working and office-based working from our Sheffield offices. We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.
