FTE: 1.0 FTE (working 37 hours a week)  Salary: UH7 £37,099pa to £40,521pa with potential to progress to £44,263pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year Location: De Havilland Campus, Hatfield We are seeking a Student Success Manager to join the Widening Access and Student Success (WASS) team. WASS is a friendly and forward-thinking team, which is passionate about empowering Student Success, challenging inequalities and transforming lives.  You will join a highly experienced and friendly team, all of whom are passionate about enabling underrepresented students to be successful in higher education. Main duties and responsibilities The Student Success Manager will lead the planning and delivery of the Student Success portfolio. They will provide managerial support to the team, ensuring they adopt an evidence-informed and student-focused approach to the continuation, attainment, and progression of targeted students at Herts. Skills and experience required You will have proven experience of supporting and enabling students in a UK HEI setting and proven experience of managing others. You will have experience of developing and implementing evidence-informed initiatives designed to improve student outcomes. You will have good knowledge and understanding of policies and practices relevant to improving student outcomes. You should be able to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and be a confident user of information technology, including MS Office. The ability to work calmly and systematically to meet agreed deadlines is critical, as is the ability to work compassionately and reflectively with both students and colleagues. Qualifications required You will be educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent level qualifications, or proven experience.
