Position Overview:

As ILS Manager you will be a part of a brand-new branch of our Sensor Systems business, based in Fareham. You will develop and lead our ILS capability in UK in order to deliver state of the art radars towards UK and other international customers. In addition to working with colleagues in Fareham and Farnborough you will also collaborate with the ILS Management Group based in Gothenburg, contributing to the overall ILS Management scope for Saab's radar portfolio projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As our ILS Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of ILS work (ILS Management, Technical Publications, ILS Engineering) in one or several customer contracts. You will work closely with Project Management and Engineering (particularly Integration & Verification, System Design) in order to deliver value to the customer. As ILS Manager we also see you as a contributor in the bid process and involved in establishing ways of working between UK and Sweden.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design the support and support the design of our products, systems and subsystems
• During concept and constructions phase work with the aim to ensure high robustness/testability/maintainability and low life cycle cost (LCC)
• Manage the creation of technical publications, customer training and ILS analysis
• Support customer adoptions from a ILS perspective
• Grow and manage the ILS capability
• Travel within UK and abroad (including to Gothenburg office)

Required Skills:

• Have previous knowledge as ILS Engineer and ILS Manager. This includes a minimum of 10 years' experience within the ILS domain
• Feel comfortable in your leaderships & communications skills
• As a person you are positive, social, result-oriented and a team player with a broad technical interest
• Have experience working with both theoretical and practical technical challenges in domain
• Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Military and/or radar background is an advantage
• Like working in a team and cooperating with others but are capable of working individually as well.
• Handling unexpected problems is a natural part of reality and you choose simple and effective solutions to those problems.
