Job description

Based across WGC & SA (main base to be confirmed)

The Immersive Learning Experience Designer/Developer is responsible for creating and developing cutting-edge educational experiences using emerging digital technologies. This role focuses on designing collaborative, 360° simulations and innovative learning environments that cater to independent study and class learning. The successful candidate will work closely with lecturers and teams to ensure content aligns with pedagogical goals, while also providing training and support for staff and students.

To provide support and guidance in the use of virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed/merged reality, development tools, and related technologies.

Collaborate with lecturers and teams to align content with pedagogical goals.

To develop VR/AR related teaching materials, methods, and approaches such as immersive training courses.

Design and develop immersive educational experiences using emerging digital technologies.

Focus on creating collaborative, 360° simulations and new digital learning environments.

Develop and support educational learning experiences that cater to independent study

Required Skills:

• The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/computer science, or related field.

• knowledge of good practice in digital content development and best practice.

• Ability to develop draft content into high quality learning materials and activities without changing the academic and learning intent, ensuring content is inclusive and accessible.

• understanding and working use of learning platforms, (ideally Canvas) and associated learning tools, utilised to develop digital materials and learning content/activities to agreed style guides..

• Technical proficiency digital, IT, and AV technologies.

• Ability to manage bookings and schedules effectively.
