Junior Container Controller – Southampton
A leading port delivery company specializing in maritime trades are expanding their team and require a Junior Container Controller in Southampton! You will join a friendly and welcoming team who work together to maintain the exceptional service levels across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare daily reports as specified by principles.
• Exec Containers to Terminal Systems in Accordance with Principles requirements.
• Receive check and lodge export HMC Paperwork.
• Check container numbers in Terminal Systems against principles booking lists to confirm that they are executed to correct discharge port and are available for shipment.
• Download import manifests to CNS and Destin8 and allocate PIN numbers for Principles.
• Make bond documents and other documentation available to drivers as requested.
• Prepare and Transit Containers Control Reports.
• Prepare HMC export documentation as required.
• Liaise with Principles on Documentation queries.
• Prepare HMC Cargo manifests and relevant Documentation.
• Prepare Bills of Lading and Cargo/Freighted manifests.
• Maintain close liaison with Terminals regarding berth/labour availability and planning, and report to principles accordingly.
• Prepare received for shipment manifests and recapitulation sheets.
• Maintain Job Reference register and monthly financial returns.
• Archiving and Filing of Vessel Files.
• Check Hazardous cargo documentation, Prepare DG Manifests and Distribute as Required.
• Prepare Shipped on board and Landed Lists and transmit to Principles.
• Prepare Operational Reports.
• Attend to Preparation of Vessels Arrivals and Associated Agency Functions.
• Attend on board Vessels as required.
• Check invoices for Accuracy and pass for Payment.
