Import Coordinator

Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Import Coordinator to join their office in Witham on a 9/10 month maternity basis.

General Tasks:

• Customer Service – Internal / External phone calls
• IT – Excel spreadsheets, Inhouse Operational Cargo wise System

Operational Tasks:

• Pre-Alerts – Manage Inbound shipments via Sea Freight and occasional Airfreight
• Occasionally organise Export shipments via Sea Freight
• Opening New Jobs on internal system for Import / Export & Airfreight
• Customs Entries
• Customs Documentation using IPAFFS/DES PHILIS
• Port Health Documentation
• Liaising with Customers via email or telephone
• Monitor progress of shipments from start to finish
• Transport Deliveries
• Ensure Customer delivery requirements are met including Bonded cargo
• Job Costings / Invoicing
• System Updates
• Analysis Reporting
• Signing off Files

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 10 months

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
