Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing import/export company specialising in LCL and FCL. As part of their expansion, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Import Clerk to join their team.
Junior Import Coordinator Position Overview:
As a Junior Import Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting import operations. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with basic import knowledge to further develop their skills and knowledge in import logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with their experienced import team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods through customs and across borders.
Junior Import Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of import documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Verify and maintain accurate records of import transactions, including shipment details, customs clearance documents, and duty payments.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to imports.
- Stay updated on import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with international trade laws.
- Provide administrative support to the import department, including data entry, filing, and general office duties.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to expand knowledge of import logistics and procedures.
Junior Import Coordinator Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or basic knowledge of import procedures and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in import logistics and customs compliance.
Junior Import Coordinator Remunerations:
- Competitive salary within the range of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum.
