Import / Export Clerk

Introducing an exciting opportunity in Freight Forwarding, focusing on international freight importing and exporting. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in established Freight companies. Our ideal candidate, currently looking for a new role in Import or Export, brings proficiency in CargoWise, Sequoia, and Microsoft Access, showcasing a commitment to staying abreast of industry technologies.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Importing and Exporting International Freight
- CargoWise Certification (Preferable) : Proficient in the use of CargoWise, Sequoia, and Microsoft Access programs, including Word, Access, and Excel.
- A-Z Journey: Comprehensive understanding and execution of the Import and Export processes from start to finish.
- Freight Knowledge: Specialised expertise in Air Exports with knowledge of handling LCL and FCL shipments.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing warehouse operations, and overseeing staff in both Import and Export capacities.
- Certifications: Previous certifications in FLT reach (4t) and counterbalance (15t), Handling Dangerous Goods, Manual Handling, BIFA certified exports for beginners, and UK National Air Cargo Security Training (COS).
- Availability: Immediate availability to contribute expertise and skills to a new role.
Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end Import and Export processes, managing A-Z journey for both.
- Utilise expertise in CargoWise, Sequoia, and Microsoft Access programs for efficient operations.
- Oversee and coordinate Air, Road, and Sea shipments, specialising in LCL and FCL.
- Handle account management responsibilities, ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth logistics operations.
- Utilise AOG (Aircraft on Ground) experience to efficiently manage time-sensitive shipments.
