The Company
Our client is one of the market leading names in their industry. They work with some of the biggest brands and have a market leading brand reputation.
Due to expansion they are looking to add a Import Merchandiser to their team. This is an excellent opportunity to start / springboard your career in a well rounded supply chian role with a fantastic business!
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Import Merchandiser will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the business, helping to deliver products through critical path & manage supplier relationships.
Main duties include:
- Placing orders with Vendors to satisfy customer orders.
- Updating critical paths to ensure business wide visibility of order status.
- Checking with Sales that customer specifications are agreed on time and ensuring these are accurately relayed to Vendors.
- Liaising with internal departments, Sales, Buying, Design, and Licensing to ensure deadlines with Vendors are met.
- Regular contact with Vendors to ensure on time deliveries to customers. Email, Video Call.
- Providing weekly reports on Purchase Order status.
- Working with shipping team to ensure containers are loaded and shipped on time to meet customer delivery dates.
- Providing immediate notification to the business of potential delays to delivery dates.
What We Are Looking For
The Import Merchandiser will ideally have experience in a similar role. You should ideally be/have:
- Experience in a similar Import Merchandising role.
- Ideally experience with Far East Vendors (not essential)
- Experience with POs
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision, preferable but not essential
