A forward thinking established family business that has been trading for many years operating mainly within the Construction Industry are looking to appoint an experience in house Accountant to support their Group of companies in their depot in Sheffield S6.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Quarterly management accounts prepare for the bank
o Monthly Payroll and auto enrolment administration
o Construction Industry Scheme monthly returns
o Preparation of annual accounts and corporation tax including submission
o Monthly PAYE returns
o Pension scheme administration (new employee enrolment & submissions etc.)
o Self-assessment tax returns for Directors/Shareholders
o Potential future project to upgrade current Sage50 systems to another solution if beneficial.
o Weekly/ Monthly payroll
o Expert commercial and personal tax advice
o Liaising with auditors and preparing audit pack
o Liaising with third parties such as bank/finance providers/HMRC
o Assisting/Aiding In House Solicitor
o HR services, creating contracts/collecting employee identification.
The ideal candidate:
o Proven experience as an accountant
o Proficiency in Sage50
o Educational Qualification: Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) would be advantageous.
o Be comfortable with submitting full accounts.

o Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm (flexible start time and finish time)
o Holidays: 33 days hol (including stat.)
o Salary: £50k - £55kk+ (we can be flexible)
