In-house Interpreter with Romanian language

Intermarine UK is a leading provider of labour support to maritime operations in the UK and our business is growing rapidly. To complement our team, we are looking for an Interpreter with Romanian language. The successful candidate will be reporting to the office in Govan but may also be deployed to another site in Glasgow.

This role will suit individuals fluent in English and Romanian, who will enjoy providing professional interpreting and translation to a wide range of meetings, training sessions, and documents.

Responsibilities will include:

· Supporting allocated supervisors in interpreting and translation for the daily meetings, training sessions

· Supporting the allocated supervisor with ongoing communication tasks with Romanian workforce

· Support Romanian workforce with any interpretation of documents at the workplace

· Providing quality translation and interpretation services for written content

· Providing ongoing accurate and efficient translating/interpreting activities

· Promoting equality, health, and safety, etc. within the company

· Working alongside other departments

· Ability to work as a part of a team and support ongoing activities as well as the ability to work independently and show initiative

· Any other administrative duties as/when required

· Any other project work as/when required

Requirements:

· Experience working in a heavy engineering environment would be an advantage, but not mandatory (work is in a steelwork and construction environment)

· Ability and willingness to work between sites, and varied locations on the site

· Strong communication skills

· Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to manage time effectively

· Problem-solving and attention to detail

· Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks

· Certification as translator/interpreter not required, but fluency (or near) in English and Romanian

· Criminal record check will be carried out for the successful candidate
