Position: In-House Patent Attorney
Location: Cambridge (with hybrid working)
Salary: up to 95,000.00 per annum (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits
Our client based in Cambridge is currently seeking to expand their IP team with a new Patent Attorney hire who has a background in technology and engineering. Candidates will be qualified or part-qualified with a minimum of two years' experience either with an In-House or Private Practice background. Hybrid working on offer with a good mix of office and remote working on offer.
Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the IP team, you will:
Develop and maintain our client's IP portfolio.Manage IP/legal matters for product areas.Assist in patent drafting, filing, and prosecution.Conduct patent searches and advise on third-party rights.Contribute to IP strategy and risk mitigation.Prepare IP-related reports and presentations.Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
UK and European qualified Patent Attorney, or part-qualified, either with an In-House or Private Practice background.Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or related field.2 years plus experience; exceptional candidates with varying experience levels will be considered.Strong understanding of physics and mechanical device design.Excellent patent drafting abilities.Team player with exceptional communication skills.Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.Practical and commercial mindset towards IP.Clear, logical, and analytical thinking.Organised with keen attention to detail.Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Salary/Package:
