We are looking to appoint a teacher to take on our newly-created role of Inclusion Manager to support our experienced SEND Team. The role involves helping to improve outcomes for some pupils.
We are looking for a qualified teacher with a minimum of three years experience, who has a passion for teaching children with SEN and a relentless desire to ensure that all children make excellent progress. We believe that all behaviour is communication. Excellent training is provided and there may be the opportunity to become a Thrive Practitioner, whilst in post at the school.

The Purpose of the Role is to support the SENCO and SEND team to:
- Supporting and liaising with the SENCO
- Advising and supporting other members of staff e.g. teachers and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Leading some aspects of the Thrive Approach to individuals and groups, including the successful Nurture Group
- Providing support for short-term issues that may affect a pupil’s wellbeing, e.g. short-term behavioural issues, support with individuals around Emotionally Based School Avoidance
- Working with external agencies
Working with pupils
- Plan and deliver interventions for specific pupils, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Create an environment that supports all pupils with additional needs to reach their full potential
- Track and monitor progress of pupils in need of additional support
- Maintain records for individual pupils
Working with colleagues
- Liaise regularly with the SENCO, providing insights and ideas
- Liaise with class teachers to identify and support pupils in need of additional support
- Provide training and support for TAs and teachers
- Supervise TAs and other members of staff carrying out interventions
Working with parents and external agencies
- Liaise with external support agencies and professionals as directed by the SENCO and/or headteacher
- Communicate with parents about specific interventions / support in place for their child
- Liaise with parents about their child’s progress
Safeguarding
- Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, PREVENT) and our safeguarding and child protection policies
- Work with the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) to promote the best interests of pupils, including sharing concerns where necessary
- Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
