Indirect Procurement Advisor

Here at Hays, we are currently recruiting for an Indirect Procurement Advisor to support a client based in East Leeds. This is a permanent opportunity, paying up to £30,000 per annum. This role is hybrid working with 2 days in office in Leeds. This is a great development opportunity, where you will sit within the company's central Corporate Procurement Team.
This role is supporting Category Managers who are responsible for managing small/medium portfolio of contracts, you will be supporting a highly established team within the Indirect Procurement markets. The right candidate for this role will be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise different projects and have a keen eye for detail. You will be taking full ownership of tasks and ensure all procurement activities are following company policies and working procedures.
Your key responsibilities:

• Receiving and evaluating bids and Preparing purchasing recommendations
• Review contractual terms and consult with category managers/procurement managers/legal if required.
• Initiate, issue, and administering purchase orders and contracts through predetermined procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Understand, implement, and comply with the company policies and ensure the same within the supplier base and implement corrective actions when appropriate.
• Collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to meet current needs and explore opportunities for mutual benefit and other potential innovation.
• Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that provides a stable foundation for future business opportunities.

Experience/Skills required:

• 2 years of experience in a procurement role (ideally indirect)
• Demonstrated ability in standard procurement procedures and practices.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), VMS systems (SAP Ariba) and Service Now
• Comprehension of contractual terms and conditions in conjunction with established procurement policies.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and multi-task.
• CIPS Level 4 (or studying towards)
