Indirect Procurement Category Manager / Industry-Leading Facilities Organisation / Excellent Progression Opportunities / Reading / £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

This industry-leading Facilities organisation is growing its procurement function to facilitate effective delivery across a range of high-profile procurement projects and is therefore seeking a passionate Category Manager to join the procurement team. Within this position you will gain strategic exposure across a generalist range of Indirect Procurement categories including Professional Services procurement, IT procurement and FM procurement, thus providing diverse exposure.

You will be working within an excellent employee-centric and collaborative working environment where you'll gain continuous development from senior stakeholders, including daily interaction with the Head of Procurement, as well as having a clear tailor-made pathway for future progression.

Indirect Procurement Category Manager, responsibilities…

• Lead creation and implementation of effective procurement strategy across the end-to-end Indirect Procurement function in relation to a generalist range of procurement categories, such as Facilities Management, IT, Professional Services and Marketing procurement
• Take ownership of the end-to-end contract management process to ensure a seamless experience from early business requirement to signature and post contract management
• Undertake a range of day-to-day strategic procurement activities, from stakeholder relationship management and tender management to negotiation and supplier management

Indirect Procurement Category Manager, requirements…

• Experience across the end-to-end procurement function, in relation to either Indirect Procurement (professional services procurement, IT procurement, FM procurement, HR procurement, logistics procurement) or a transferable strategic skillset from direct procurement (raw materials procurement, commodity procurement etc.)
• Skills surrounding category management and negotiation
• A self-starter who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team
