Procurement SpecialistWe are seeking a Procurement Specialist to deliver effective procurement strategies and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies. The successful candidate will report outcomes and benefits to workstream leaders and other stakeholders, and play a key role in achieving synergy benefits in complex spend categories.Day to Day of the Role:- Deliver synergy benefits through best-practice Category Management, including market research, sourcing, contracting, integration, and implementation.
- Secure market-leading commercial terms and contracts.
- Collaborate with global procurement colleagues to integrate and develop best practices.
- Utilise e-Procurement tools effectively, focusing on strategic, higher-value activity.
- Refine business needs with stakeholders and lead innovation.
- Guide and educate internal stakeholders on compliance with Procurement Policy.
- Work with the legal team to ensure suitable contractual arrangements and risk management.
- Represent procurement within the company, supplier base, and wider industry.
- Proven experience in Category Management of sizeable spend and complexity.
- Degree educated or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in business English, both written and verbal.
- CIPS Accreditation is preferred.
- Extensive procurement experience, including in a merger or acquisition environment.
- Proficiency in using e-Procurement tools
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/negotiations concurrently.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality and cost-effectiveness.
