Category Manager
Our public sector client are looking for a Digital Category Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is Hybrid, with some working in Reading required.
As a Digital Category Manager, you should be a commercial expert for the category that you lead. You should be able to utilise this market expertise to develop and deliver strategies.
The role and responsibilities:
- You will play an essential part in the Procurement and Supplier Management team. You will take responsibility for managing a list of suppliers to make sure contracted service levels are being delivered and improved upon throughout the contract life cycle.
- Manage end-to-end category strategies for short, medium and long term.
- Providing a supply of market insight internal stakeholders. Becoming the commercial expert for your category.
- You will ensure that a strategic and innovative Category Management approach is consistently embedded within the company.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience within Category Strategy Management. Public Sector would be strongly preferred.
- Good stakeholder management skills and ability to understand stakeholder and corporate needs.
- Detailed and in depth knowledge of the external supply market inc. market changes.
- Ability to identify market insights, trends and opportunities for growth.
