Industrial Designer – Cambridge - £35k-£45k - Consumer Products
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a small and dynamic product development consultancy based in Cambridge. They’re currently seeking a talented and passionate Industrial Designer to join a dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role, enjoying the autonomy to engage directly with clients, devise creative solutions for project briefs, and collaborate with and learn from the team.
Main Duties:
+ Innovative idea generation - individually and as a team
+ 3D CAD design/surfacing
+ User research
+ Create visuals
+ Produce project briefs
+ Prototype & test designs
Key skills & experience:
+ Degree in relevant discipline
+ Proficient at sketching and visually communicating ideas
+ Strong 3D CAD skills – Solidworks
+ Good rendering/surfacing skills
+ Hands on and practical – Prototyping
+ Understand different manufacturing processes – injection moulding
The salary will be between £35,000-£45,000 depending on level of experience. There will also be a generous benefits package available including flexible & hybrid working.
