Industrial Door & Loading Bay Engineer

We're currently partnered with a global manufacturer of Industrial Door and Dock Leveller solutions to recruit for an experienced Engineer, to be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a range of Industrial Door and Loading Bay products across the Southwest of England. 

Established in 1962, my client serves a diversity of industries; from shipping, petrochemical, telecommunications, with a focus today on the vehicle repair, maintenance and Loading Bay equipment industries supported by a full-service organisation. The role for the Industrial Door & Loading Bay Engineer will involve; 

• Conducting routine maintenance inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
• Working on a wide range of products, including; roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, fire doors, steel doorsets, security grilles, dock levellers and shelters.
• Diagnosing malfunctions and perform repairs on Industrial Doors, dock levelers, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other related equipment.
• Responding promptly to service calls and emergency repair requests, acting as a key participant in the company's standby rota on a 1 week in 13 basis.
• Completion of all required paperwork, acting professionally on site at all times. 

To be considered for this role, you will be required to have; 

• A minimum of 4 years' experience in the fault-finding, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues across hydraulic equipment, dock levellers and Industrial Doors.
• A full UK Driving License. 
• Ideally an in-date IPAF and PASMA. 
• An NVQ 2 in Industrial Door Engineering, however this is not essential. 
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations; again, this is not essential however you will be enrolled by the employer and required to complete this training. 

The position offers an excellent overall remuneration package, including;

• A basic salary of up to £34,000pa depending on qualifications, training needed and experience gained. 
• All hours after 40 hours weekly paid at time & a half, including all travel time. 
• A company van, universal fuel card and Screwfix card. 
• A full uniform, including safety boots and PPE. 
• A £40 monthly payment to ensure the cleanliness of your works' vehicle. 
• An annual pay review, based on inflation. 
• Christmas bonus and vouchers based on length of service. 
• 2% commission on parts. 
• 20% commission on amended or new service contracts dealt with. 
• A £50 payment for sales leads transferred to Sales Team.
