We have a number of options available for the right industrial radiographer which will provide exciting opportunities to train and progress with a forward thinking Company.
Our Radiographers carry out radiography testing (RT) services at both the UK workshop location as well as on our clients premises. The role may require travel across the UK to support the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiography (Gamma and X-ray) on fabricated products as well as in-service corrosion monitoring, in line with MISTRAS processes/procedures and to client specifications
- Provide interpretation of the results of the radiography tests and compile reports in line with both MISTRAS and client requirements, against specified acceptance criteria
- As required, act as a nominated RPS for the work site
- Ensure up-to-date working knowledge of radioactive source retrieval and emergency procedures
- Conduct complimentary NDT as required (where your certification level allows) and compiles reports accordingly
- Perform NDT activities with a focus on regulatory and site-specific safety compliance
- Demonstrating accountability for the work performed and provide services with a focus on quality of delivery
- Ensure continuous and up to date working knowledge and awareness of the MISTRAS Local Rules as well as the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17)
Your Profile and Previous Experience
- Prior experience of conducting radiography testing and other complimentary NDT services in both workshop and site environments
- Be able and willing to travel in line with MISTRAS requirements
- Experience needed to fulfil the provision as described in BINDT PSL/30
- Sound working knowledge of the relevant national/international codes or standards, applicable to NDT
- Be able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels, including client facing communications on projects being undertaken
- Demonstrable knowledge of safe working methods in a radiography environment
