We are looking for a Full-Time Information Adviser for a 9-month temporary assignment, working for a fantastic organisation, based in Cambridge City Centre.
In your role as Information Adviser, you will work as part of the Accommodation team, and will be responsible for giving tenancy and property advice to staff, students and visitors.
This is a highly pressurised, customer facing, time responsive role and as such, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate first class Customer Service skills, be a confident communicator and willing and able to work as part of a team. Experience of the property management sector, knowledge of housing law, tenancies, handling disputes would be advantageous but training will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be expected to attend the office every day (no hybrid working available). Normal office hours apply (9-5), 36.5 hours a week.
Principle Responsibilities:
As an Information Adviser, you will be responsible for undertaking daily operations to include:
- Interacting with students, staff and visitors to provide a friendly and helpful service
- Handling general enquiries via email, telephone and in person
- Giving tenancy and property guidance, advising on the registration and application processes
- Liaising closely with private landlords in the advertising and letting of their properties
- Carrying out accompanied viewings where required and undertaking property viewings/inspections to assess and ensure acceptable standards
- Undertaking the new tenancy process, ensuring that welcome and other information packs are made available in advance and contain all relevant information
- Take receipt of payments for bookings, donations and administrative fees, both online and in cash, registering deposits, collecting initial rental payments and maintaining accurate accounts records
- Handling any issues that may arise or referring for more serious dispute resolution
- Providing full administrative support as required, arranging appointments and meetings, setting up and maintaining filing systems and archives
- Assisting with the preparation of surveys and the gathering and presentation of statistics on a broad range of data
- Contributing to the review, development and maintenance of the information contained within the department’s own, and any related, websites
- Ensuring all legal compliances are fulfilled
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience from a similar role would be advantageous
